A Tourism Revolution: The First Hypersonic Train to Travel 1,000 km in 30 Minutes

The global transportation industry is on the brink of a dramatic breakthrough with the unveiling of the world’s first hypersonic train designed for commercial use. The project, developed by a multinational team of engineers from Japan, the UAE and Canada, aims to redefine travel as we know it.

The train, named “HYPER-1,” is capable of reaching speeds exceeding 2,000 km/h thanks to a cutting-edge magnetic levitation system paired with a low-pressure, near-frictionless tunnel. Initial tests conducted on a special track in the UAE desert stunned observers: the prototype successfully covered 1,000 km in under 30 minutess.

If widely implemented, the system could shrink entire countries and regions, making long-distance travel nearly instantaneous. A trip from Dubai to Riyadh would take roughly 17 minutes, while the Tokyo–Sapporo connection could be reduced to just 25 minutes — shorter than typical airport boarding time.

Officials expect the first commercial routes to become operational by 2030.
